SUPER ©

SUPER © is a Multimedia Encoder and a Multimedia Player. It will convert many video formats from one format to another; great for when you download a YouTube video and all you get is that file with a .flv extension. I believe what they claim on their site: “SUPER © does for FREE what other encoders CAN’T do for money”. The interface looks overwhelming but it is actually quite easy to use; most of the time you just have to define the 3 drop down boxes at the top and that’s it.

Media Pirate

Media Pirate is a video downloader software tool that allows you to download videos from any website.

I have found tons of software solutions that claim to do a good job but don’t or are cumbersome to use. Media Pirate is easy to use, it listens in the background for media files which get accessed via internet. As soon as it has found something it lists it and then it can be downloaded just like a regular file. Media Pirate has a free limited version, a $5.00 version, and a $15.00. The $5.00 and $15.00 versions are the same but the latter includes free future upgrades. Oh, and there is also a Firefox add-on!

ColourSpy
